We start our tour through the historical old at the Jüdenhof next to the Church of Our Lady. Get to know more about Jewish life in the middle ages before we walk on to the Residential Palace, the former home of the Saxon royal dynasty.

Especially August the Strong encouraged Jewish people to settle down again in Dresden. But why? You will find this out before we go upstairs to the Brühl’s Terrace, Dresden’s old city wall which was a special place for Victor Klemperer, a former Jewish professor and well known for his diaries he wrote during WWII.

Let’s finish the tour in front of the synagogue, built in 2001 and the symbol of Jewish life in present days. (outside visits only).
