Wonderful Introduction to Dresden!
I visited Dresden with my parents last week and took a wonderful tour with Carola from Dresden Walks. She is a native German, has lived in Dresden for many, many years, and knew the city very well.
The tour was short and covered a relatively small area, but Dresden is compact, so it did cover all the main sites. Carole’s English was wonderful – easy to understand with only a very slight accent. I especially enjoyed her way of explaining the history. She talked about things very simply so that we could understand easily, and mixed facts with stories. She was very effective in communicating Saxony’s past. She also answered all our questions, was very patient as we took photos, and helped us where we needed to go after the tour was over. It was a perfect start to our day in Dresden!
